Dr. Young is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor with a focus on uncovering root causes and helping patients understand the full story of their health. Her path into integrative health began long before her clinical training. She studied violin at The Juilliard School, where years of musical practice taught her to listen deeply, recognize subtle patterns, and appreciate the emotional layers of the human experience. This foundation shapes the way she understands people and informs the depth and curiosity she brings to patient care.
After Juilliard, Dr. Young completed her pre-medical studies at the University of Pennsylvania and went on to earn her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University California. She later completed her residency at the UC Irvine Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute, where she trained in both conventional and integrative approaches to care.
In her work as an ND, Dr. Young aims to identify the underlying factors contributing to imbalance rather than simply managing symptoms. Her treatment plans address the whole person, including lifestyle, nutrition, physical well-being, and emotional stressors. When appropriate, she draws from lifestyle medicine, botanical medicine, targeted supplementation, pharmaceuticals, and mind-body and stress-resiliency strategies.
At the heart of her practice is a warm, patient-centered approach. Dr. Young is committed to understanding each person’s story and the meaning behind their symptoms. Her ultimate goal is to help individuals reconnect with their health and return to their most grounded, vibrant selves.
